Generic Name: Pimecrolimus

Elidel is a topical treatment for mild to moderate eczema. The manufacturers of Elidel have advised that the long-term effects of Elidel use are not yet known, and some users have reported malignant skin tumors and lymphoma.

A black box warning was added to Elidel’s prescribing information by the FDA in January of 2006.
