Herceptin (trastuzumab) is a treatment for metastatic breast cancer. Trials of Herceptin revealed the occurrence of reduced heart function and congestive heart failure in a small portion of patients.

A black box warning was added to Herceptin’s prescribing information by the FDA in November 2006.
