Humira, manufactured by Abbott Pharmaceuticals, is a Tumor Necrosis Factor blocker. It is designed to reduce the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and Crohn’s disease.

In February of 2007, the FDA added a black box warning to Humira’s prescribing information advising patients and health care professionals of the risk of serious infections, including tuberculosis, related to the use of Humira.
